Jakarta Dept. of Transportation will ban truck to operate in Jakarta since five days before Eid (D-5). It is based on Minister of Transportation letter No. 22/2016 about goods vehicle operation during Eid.

“We obey the ministry’s referral. Trucks are prohibited to operate since D-5,” Monday (6/27).

His side will give announcement letter for all land transport management related to this prohibition. The effort is aimed to anticipate traffic during homecoming travel.

“According to the letter, trucks can operate again on July 9, or D+3,” he added.

Trucks for staple food and fuel are still able to operate. His side will also prepare personnel to expel non staple food and fuel truck on the road.
